I heard they put grease by the windows on the side so they slide easier on my 2k2 civic does that on the right side because I dont think the body shop greased the side of the windows, and one side rolls up slower than the other, it kinda sucks.

only thing that would make THAT motor faster is 2 things... 1, change the gearing on the motor... that would require a metal shop... 2, up the voltage going to the motor... that would require the motor to have its only power supply...
well, there is a third solution:
DEAL WITH IT!!!!
be happy you have power windows

i would like my windows to go up faster in my civic as well, there is nothign wrong with them, but i have seen peoples windwos go up REAL fast. like with security or somthign, i dont know how they did it tho
if you put too much voltage to it it will fry real quick, and i dont think you could use a civic window motor cause the accord prob has larger windows that are heavyer

Check your windows for anything that would slow it down (stickers coming off, etc.) and the path that the window travels. You could have a bunch of dirt and junk in there and that could also slow it down.
Maybe a pick-a-part place could have other older cars and you could remove the module from those? Would be MUCH cheaper than new. You could even get a couple of old ones for the price of a new. Who would know/care that it was used? Only your wallet...

Neptune: did you do anything to your car lately?
A mod that requires you to disconnect the battery means that you'd have to reset the Autodown feature on your windows. How to do it is attached to several DIYs at the very end. You usually have to reset the idle limit also. Noticed anything weird with that either?

speaking of swaps... i wonder if i could swap a 03 accord power window motor into my civic... it has a auto up and auto down power window. and its slightly faster than mine.

again.. the auto down feature has NOTHING to do with the computer or ne thing electrical... its a Simple Plastic switch that causes this.
Quote from HandA-Accessories.com install sheets
NOTE: Whenever the battery is disconnected, the driver's window AUTO function is disabled.
(To reset)
1. Start the engine. Push down on the driver's window switch until the window is fully open.
2. Pull up on the driver's window switch to close the window completely, then hold the switch for 2 seconds.
3. Lower and raise the driver's window to check operation of the driver's window AUTO function.

... Wasn't that what I was supposed to do?There's something about resetting the idle ECU, but it says it'll do that eventually, you can help it along by resetting it yourself.
Thoughts/comments?
