I gotta quick question for you guys. I went about 4,500 miles w/out changing my oil (i was due for my 2nd oil change) and my Maint. Req light started flashing everytim I'd start my car. It just flashes for couple sec's and it shuts off. Well I changed the oil tonight and it still flases on when you turn the car on. But like before it shuts off after few sec's. I never payed attention to this before to see if this is normal when u start ur car, like ABS or Oil signs come on. So is this normal or should I take my car back to Honda and have them check it out ?

all you gotta do is reset the light if you don't want the light to flash no more.....dun know how to do it cause i forgot but it's in your civic manual....i'm pretty sure someone will come in here and tell you how though!!! but doesn't mean the maintenance doesn't need to be done!!!

hold the trip button then turn the car into the on position but dont turn the car on... hold down the button for about 10 seconds.. until the light goes off... and then uve reset it ..

haha i really think u should search also, everyday there is a thread askin bout the maint light.
