A list of sites / forums to help you learn your audio

I've noticed that most of you here dont quite know your audio as well as you should to be tweaking at your cars so much. Ive also noticed the constantly repeated retarded questions day in and day out. Also, I'm hoping some more of you will learn to love the hardcore audio knowledge so we could have some REAL discussions in this forum. Because of this i'm making a list of all sorts of audio tech sites, and sites about the physics of audio and such (the stuff me and whiterabbit are massive nerds about).

***

Basic car audio electronics
http://www.bcae1.com/

this site has it all. everything you could ever ask is discussed here, but yet its extremely easy to understand here.

***

klipsch audio's audiophile dictionary
http://www.klipsch.com/listeningloun...philespeak.asp
i know you guys dont always understand all the big words some of us here use, this is a great dictionary i just found of audio lingo

***

Eddie Runner's site:
http://www.installer.com/tech/index.html
has some interesting articles about interesting stuff

***

Car audio usenet FAQ
http://www.mobileaudio.com/rac-faq/rac-faq_toc.html
lotsa basic information

***

crossover design calculators
http://ccs.exl.info/calc_cr.html
for those that want to make their own passive crossovers

***

the polyfill article
http://www.win.net/audtatious/audio/fiber.html
learn exactly how much box stuffing to use for your desired enclosure and what box stuffing really does for enclosures

***

car audio forum
www.caraudioforum.com
forum and chat room, chat room is owned and run by our own whiterabbit (known as semi in there). we both spend a few hours a day in teh room, so feel free to stop by and watch the freakshow

***

elite car audio
www.elitecaraudio.com
tightassed high end audio junkies. They get annoying and stuck up on the forum, but they know their stuff quite quite well

***

sound illusions
www.soundillusions.net
another good site

***

i'll add more as i find more

they will train you. you are hired on for poop for pay, and pay for your training and cert testing.

if they say otherwise, they simply dont want to hire you. They simply say the require it so they have an excuse to turn away the average three offers a week they get from kids who want jobs.

helps get customers, too.
