Help My Car Wont Start!
MY ****ING car wont start!.....i dont know whats the problem. i smell gas coming from the valve cover and the spark plug cover. there is no leak. i have a ex turbo charged civic. no fuel done though. thats probably my problem.
but any way if any one can give me some help. like what they think it is or what i can get to fix it. i know its not the batterie so dont tell me that or the alternator or the starter. the key turns and it makes that noise when your car dies and your trying to start it. damn it ! help!

more info please. does it turn? does it sound like its fuel starved or does it sound like theres no spark what so ever? in other words, what happens exactly when you turn the key. it could be something as simple as a drained battery, possibly ran out of fuel (its happened to many people), or maybe your injectors are shot.

might be a main accessory fuse. its happened to me, everything turns on, but when you turn the key to start nothing happens. check the fuses under the hood.

There was a tread about this a while back , and was it some kind of gas purge valve or something like that?
I had a 90 Accord and until I sold it in April half the time it would start and every time I got gas would have to leave it running, if I shut it of I`ed have to wait about 20 min. before it would start. And nobody could fix it , not even the dealer ( I still have credit for paying and not having found the problem !! )
I hope my new Civic starts , at least if at some piont it does`nt , I`ll have them check that valve.

Check for the blinking green key (immobilizer light) on the panel. If it's blinking something has triggered the immobilizer. It happend to me once. I just shut off the key, pulled it out, licked it (dunno why), wiped it off and put it back in, and it fired right up.
second, my car flooded itself somehow one time. I just let it sit and drove my moms car to work. When I came home I tried it again, I had to turn it over and hold it for a few seconds, but it finally started.
third, make sure it's in gear and the clutch (if a 5 speed) is pushed in. - edit, n/m doesn't sound like this..
Make sure the battery terminals are clean and are in good connecting order. . - edit n/m doesn't sound like this either.
Check all fuses, under the steering wheel and under the hood.
Try an jump start - edit, n/m you tried this.
try a kick start (again if 5 speed).
and last, what have you done since the last time it started?

dude...the gross part is that youve probably used that key to like scratch your ***, and youve probably dropped your keys on multiple surfaces before..and it has touched all the stuff in your pocket...which may or may not be a good thing...
