alright, thanks... i found it on the DIY .... i'm still clearning the lights now.
i heard having white turn signals are illegal, so my friend asked if i wanted to color them with a red marker. well, i thought red-orange would look about the same when lit up... damn was i wrong. it's ugly as hell .. and i'm bound to be pulled over if i have it flashing!! .... ****!! ... what a huge mistake! ...

The HTA does not state weather white turn signals are illegal or not however it does mention that only a snow removal vehicle shall be carried with a flashing blue light and thus blue is illegal for turn signals, but technically, it should not be illegal to have blue lights, but it also states it must be clear or amber, but for amber, to an extent of yellow? The HTA is open to be discussed, its not very straight forward...

actualy it does state that a vehicle must have amber turn signals in the front, and red turn signals in the rear. any other colour than that and the police can give ya crap, and maybe a ticket.
I got pulled over during the daytime for my turn signal because it was reflecting blue... but after I turned on my indicator and it was emitting white, he didn't do anything...Instead I got a ticket for my muffler. BASTARD!!! So white turn signals should be okay.

White and amber are legal colours for the FRONT turn signals only. Where as Red and amber are the only legal colours for the Rear turn signals.

01coupe, if you really want it to be amber. go out and buy a perminant marker. if you don't like the color, u can always wipe it off with rubbing alcohol.

Yep, amber signals do exist, and I believe Autobas carried them.
Just remember that white signal will attract attention, and that some bulbs emit a more bluish light compared to others, Polarg for an example, has a fairly blue tint. Just goto a store and compare it with those display units.

it's very depend on teh cops who pull you over
every cop sees things different...some nice and some *** so hard to say
if u want to be on teh safe side then dont clear the headlights or cleared the headlights and put on amber bulbs

Of course clear signal lights are legal. Thats what our cars come with!!!
That being said if you read the HTA the clear signal is fine. However, if they want they will just nail you for not having 4 side markers. The two in the front have to be amber and the two in the back have to be red. If you leave your clear bulbs then from the side of the car you have white light.
Bottom line, they will get you if they want too.
