Blown Motor Has any one else blow up their motor yet. well i did with 61,000 miles on it. and the motherF**K woill not cover it under warrenty because i have to may mods. So im putting in a New motor. But its gonna be a something that no one has. When i get it back ill take pic.

What do you mean you are gonna get something that no has, there aren't to many options.
If you don't get another D-series, you are obviously gonna get a K-series.
O.....and I see you live in NY, who is doing the work on your car with this motor??

Rep Power: 0 i blew my motor by going from 3rd red lined to 2nd 4 times and then drove it for another 20,000 miles having no idea that one of my rods was cracked then one day my engine locked up so i put the vtec version of the d17 in if i had the money i would have done the k20 swap but im poor folk

Rep Power: 0 other than the possible differences in price, the k20 or k20a2 are by far the best choice. Or if you want to be so different, drop in the k24 from a tsx / accord / crv or element and swap on a k20 head for an unbeatable fatt torque curve

Yea well my motor blew up 3 time before 10,000 miles, on it and they kept saying it was my fault, and then they found out it was a manufacturers defect and they fixed it every time.

Rep Power: 0 lol your gonna put a h22 motor in a 7thgen? well gl with that gonna cost some dough for custom mounts btw h22 is not special at all lol, mine as well as try a b18c which is what I was gonna do its not like a cop is gonna radio in your vin from your engine if your a 2k1 then your pretty lucky considering preludes ended production in 2k1 and so did integras which would be legal. 2 bad mine is 2k2 awwwhhh
