integra ls vs. integra gs

basically...which is faster stock for stock? i assumed the ls was but my friend just got a gs and is saying his is faster?

also...who would win between the intgera gs with exhaust (thats the only mod) and a 2k1 civic hx(?) with an intake, header, and exhaust? my money goes to the civic.anybody else?

ls and gs have no power differences, the difference in weight is so minimal the race outcome would be purely based on driver skills.

the integra would win, (these are just base numbers) the integra gs comes with 142 hp stock. the HX is coming with what I am assuming 118 HP or something like that, I/H/E on a 2k1 Civic will give 10 HP at most, sorry even though the civic is a little bit lighter, the integra still has quite an advantage

The LS and GS have the exact same engine. The only difference between the two are all cosmetic. The GS on the newer models are standard with leather interior and keyless entry. That's about the only difference. The LS and GS are not standard with VTEC, you would have to get the GS-R to get the VTEC B18 I believe?

anyway yeah no difference between the two

an LS VTEC is using the LS block and the GSR head, a very nice combination, but this is a custom job, you can't buy this from Acura

EDIT:
oh and BTW this is more of a General Auto Ramblings type thread..... not flame'in you just informin

The LS, GS and RS is equipped with the B18B, the GS-R is equipped with the B18C1 and the Type R has the B18C5, for some grab bag, the GS-R in Japan (SIR-G) is equipped with the B18C.

SE is just a GS-R minus the VTEC motor......sorry whoever told you that the Integra Special Edition comes with a B18C1 doesn't know what they are talking about or is pulling your leg.

You cannot have an LS with the B18C1 special ordered from the factory, unless you have some kind of hook up because believe me it's not a dealer special.

The RS is much lighter then the LS and GS, that's why it's particularlly good for motor swaps, it's pretty much the same weight as a Type R, if not lighter.

the jdm equivalent of every b18cx is a b18c because they don't have the numbers in their designations.

Yes SE is only in Auto, and LS and GS is basically same only diff was leather seats other than that both motors are built for abuse unlike the GSR's, also u cant order LS VTEC b.c itd never be approved by emissions, i dont mean itll effect smog or watever i jus mean its not that reliable and thatd give acura bad rep, so they wouldnt take da chance
