SRS light problem from neons!?!?!
SRS light problem from neons!?!?!
a couple months ago i installed 2 streetglow neon accent under the dash of the 2001 honda civic. at first i didn't have time to permanently install them so i i drilled them to the removable panels under the dash and plugged them into the cigarette lighter adaptor. the worked great with no problems until about a week or 2 later when my SRS light came on. i got it reset by the dealership and didn't even think that it was the neons. a few weeks later i permanently installed them using the same mounting places and by tapping into my aftermarket's cd player for power that goes strait to the battery and i used the ground behind the the cigarrete adaptor and 2 weeks later the SRS came back. i'm stumped, i don't think it my wiring cuz i didn't even go near and of the air bag equipment, all i did was plug it in! i'm thinking maybe the neons are emitting something towards the fuse box under the dash or maybe its the drivers side neon on the right side where i zip tied it to a piece of metal which is the ground for the automatic transmission (i looked it up) but i don't know?!!?!? maybe it is the neons emitting something and maybe i should make a metal guard between the neons and fuse box? i don't know? i can take pictures if people need them to help. but please somebody help! thanks!!!!!
