Chirp while rolling

so i'm just cruising and going 60 kph, and i see this IS300 give me the finger out of his sunroof so i pulled up.. they we started to speed up then all of a sudden i gassed it a bit.. and my tires chirped while i was rolling and i took of... me and my firend were confused cause i drive a auto... and was able to chirp my tires while i was rolling... i know it happens when you dwnshift at high rpm in manual tranny.. but this happened twice... and kinda jerked our head back.... i'm not saying that my car is fast or anything but it pulled like a bitch when it happened...i was able to keep with a IS

dunnoo what internals IS had but all i saw was lowered , exhaust, and exterior mods

so my Q is anyone in auto had this happen? plus my rubber were not firestones they're Michelin Destiny's which might i add have pretty good grip

That happens on hot days typically- due to the friction of the road with the tires, they tend to have a s"stickier" and better grip. This is what mainly causes the chirp in my opinoin. What you are talking about happens to me usually on days when the sun is out. So yeah, the guy must have sucked at shifting if he had manual, or you got a better grip to the road. By the way I have an 01 auto ex. Those Michelens probably made a great deal of difference too.

You may say he had a better grip or whatever, but the entire "chirp" sound is from your tires not gripping the road and skidding a bit.

Wait, I'm confused - why did the IS300 give you the bird?
