Fix it ticket
Okay. So on July 7, 2008, while coming back home from school, I was pulled over by a sheriff on his bike. Well, he basically asked me a few questions like "how long have you had this car" and "why do you have your VIN number covered?"
He then writes me up a fix it ticket for my windows, telling me that he couldn't tell if I was Hispanic, Asian, or Black.. then he went on to say, "I couldn't even tell if you were purple, green, orange or white with those tint."
Well, here's my problem. I've made my second visit to the court last thursday and apparently, the sheriff never updated the ticket into the system. The teller told me to go downstairs and talk with the sheriff. I talked with the sheriff and payed the damn inspection fee and then she told me to go visit the next city's sheriff station (Lakewood sheriff station).
The Lakewood Sheriff Station couldn't help me out. The lady there gave me a number and I called it the next morning. I left the number a message and I never received a response.
Now, my ticket expires on September 9, 2008. That's 2 more days! What should I do?
Can I fight it the day after, saying that I feel that I don't have to pay for it because the sheriff didn't update it into the system? I don't want a warrant, that's all.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Fix it ticket
i would call the courts and find out if its been updated. and then if you don't pay it, the fine turns in to a 450 fine. TRUST ME. this happened to me.
call the Court tomorrow morning, and ask for an extension, and then pay it, if you haven't already.

Re: Fix it ticket
I went to court again today and while waiting in line, I finally got a hold of the lady over the phone. Basically, the lady told me that on her system, the ticket was in the system and that it might not have been updated into the system in the court... wtf?
By the time it was my turn to speak with the teller, I started to explain to the teller (which at this time I had met her three times... lol). Well, she just stamped today's date onto the ticket and said to call in tomorrow morning. That's all she said.
I'll post an update... ugh..
