I got a ticket a while back, actually numerous because one was no Insurance, another no license. I didnt mess with them and they are now posted as warrants. I was wondering if I can still get the insurance and license dismissed since I had both at the time, just not on me. And yes I am a dumb@ss for not taking care of those earlier.

I'm going to assume that they were changed to warrents because you missed your court date or just didn't contact the police department. You are probably screwed.

If you have a clean record you MAY be able to talk to the prosecutor, but at this point it may be too late. I'd call them and ask, see if you can get off with just paying the fines and court fees and such...

maybe their willing to reduce fines if u can show proof that you have had insurance/license at the time of the ticket issued showing you just havent had the documents during the time. you got nothing to lose.

just apologize for wasting the courts time for not being responsibile, tell them you'll never do it again, and will greatly appriceate it if they can reduce the fines any amount.

That may have worked had he not missed his initial court date. He may be able to get off with just paying a larger fine, court fees and probably a few other things. Especially if the tickets weren't moving violations. But of course IANAL.
