Angry State Referee? Count me in. =(

I go to UCI and live right across the street from campus, so between finals, I was on my way to my place to get a bite to eat and a scantron when I get pulled over for my tinted windows. Then the motorcycle cop asks to see my license and reg. My dad is a cop back home so I tape his card on the back of my license. Plus, the car is registered under my dad so when the cop ran my plates the person on the other side of the radio said that it was under the Sheriff's Department. When the cop saw this, he went DiQ-status. He told me to pop my hood and busted me for my dc header, greddy exhaust, tinted windows, and illegal breathers. So I have to go to the State Ref. now and he told me like 10 times that no officers can sign off this ticket. He did it on purpose. Meanie. And trust me, I don't look like a racer or anything.

Ok.. i guess I'm done venting now.

Conclusion: it's true what they say about Irvine cops.. they ARE lame.

I don't get it.

usually if you're related to a cop, I would think that they would be MORE inclined to let you go ... not go on some ticketing rampage

Sucks to live in Cali. In Dallas most of the cops wonder what I have done and say well that's cool. One time we were in my friend's Hemi Cuda and the cop said if he could do a burnout for like 10 seconds he would let us go. Sure enough my friend did and the cop was like man that was awesome and he told us to have a nice day.

Last weekend I retinted my fronts to 20% and since I couldn't roll them down the first couple of days I was super paranoid about going to Irvine for basketball...

I plan on keeping my windows down at all times while driving in Irvine.

(sorry to hear about your ****)

Good luck to ya

I always wonder about those cars w/ super dark tint and wonder how they don't get hassled. I'm sure it's cuz there are so many cars on the road, but I can't help but wonder if cops just REALLY use their discretion as to who they decide to bust for tint... younger kid in a civic vs. older adult in BMW/Mercedes
