get a letter from a nurse friend of your mom's or such saying you have a sist on your cornea and must have uv a refracting device infront of your eyes 24/7.
Find someone who works at a doctor's office, get it stamped and such.
Carry a set of sunglasses, and the letter from your "nurse" in your glovebox.
Cops can't touch that... period. And they won't write you a ticket, becuase you're gonna take it to court, and because of the paperwork involved for taking a "medical related" case to court, it's not worth the police officer's time to testify AND deal with the paperwork.

;-) learned it from a black friend that (his words) "*****-fied" his Tahoe.
Never got **** after flashin that letter and his sunglasses.

Here in Puerto Rico the legal limit is down to 35% and even though I've got a sticker proving I'm legal (given by the police) they stop me to check the tints! Stupid, ain't it?

tint laws vary by state and maybe even town/city.
their was a link that i believe injencivic posted of tint laws but that was based as of 2002 i believe. i remember it said in CA it was legal to have 35% on front windows but in 03, they changed it to none. so i suggest to call your local police department to verify the legit tint limit...its a much more legit source than a website.

most cops wont pull you over for tints alone but say your headlights are pure blue, lowered beyond all belief, loud exhaust, and dark tints, hes bound to pull you over.

i got pulled over for 35% tint and the guy tried to say i wasn't wearing a seatbelt (how could he tell looking through tinted windows?) and that my oem fogs were illegal. I just played it off and he let me go with a warning. I guess he had something else in mind but couldn't find anything to get me with.

well at night its pretty dark i guess from the outside. but thats what i love about my car. everything is legal even my projectors have d.o.t. written on it. well my exhaust makes some noise but that would get thrown out once they test it with db meter. Alot of times cops just assume they can get you for something else so they try and reach for something to justify pulling you and then hope they find something to ticket you for. There was a cop following me for a while and then we were side by side. I had no problem passing him since he was doing less than speed limit. i'm not gonna be a ***** and slow down to 25 like everyone else.

thats how its done, peg it at the speed limit as long as ur still in low rpms so ur exhaust isnt screaming in the cops face

no such tint as 30%, unless you have it custom ordered. Most shops only carry 50%, 35%, (some have 32%) 20% 5% and Blacked Out Tints.

bottom line if your windows are dark and make the bacon curious they are going to stop you...maybe not given a citation though...from 50% down to 5% its just a good excuse for probable cause
