need some help...

if the cop doesnt sign the ticket and put the date on where he's supposed to (he didnt sign or date it at all) and also he put my last name where my first name should be... can/will this ticket be dismissed because the officer didnt sign it?

From a police officer I know (this is PA). If you have a hearing for this case there is a time period before the hearing that the officer can amend the citation. The officer not signing it and dating it would be a problem, mispelling your name or not putting it in correct order doesnt matter. If this is a minor offense the officer is probably gonna be suspicious as to why you want a hearing and may look over the citation and catch it, if he doesnt it would basically be up to judge, you may have a good chance at having it thrown out.

That ticket can be easily thrown out if you present a good defense, If the name is wrong the ticket is not made out to you technically and you could get out of the ticket in court. Whatever you do definitly contest it, you're always better off contesting a ticket even when your guilty.
