Bench Warrant?

Bench Warrant?
WTF is bench warrant? last time I got a ticket for trespassing and today I got this letter saying that I failed to "appear for hearing".. I never got a letter or anything regarding the hearing and now they sent me this "BENCH WARRANT" letter and ****....
it also says that "DEFENDANT MAY BE ADMITTED TO BAIL IN THE SUM OF $2500" Does this mean I have to pay $2500 otherwise I will be in jail?
help me out fellow 7thgeners!!! what should I do!?

Rep Power: 267 A bench warrant is issued when you fail to appear for your court date -
The cops can come get you and take you to jail - at which point you can post the 2500 bail to get out until your next court date -
if you fail to appear on that date you wil forfeit your bail (aka lose the money) and another bench warrant will be issued and they will come get your *** -
this time you will sit in jail until your hearing -
if I were you I would get my *** down to town hall and try to clear this **** up ASAP - and bring cash in case they want to lock you up -

Rep Power: 0 NO, it doesn't say.. but I know for sure that they sent me a letter to my old address regarding the court date though that's why I didn't get anything.. and they issued me this bench warrant... am I gonna go to jail? I'm about to go in 30 mins anyway so I'll find out...
