Accident Information on driving record????
I know that moving violations show up as convictions on the driving record if they are paid for. Now is an accident (non-injury) considered a moving violation that a insurance company can use to increase your insurance, or is it just like a parking ticket, where it doesnt effect the insurance. I treid calling the DPS today but they were closed when I called.
The reason I ask is because I might get accepted to mercedes benz elite training and the representitives look back 3 years on the driving record. as of now I have 5 tickets that go back before 3 years. 2 of which will hit the three year point on sept. 9 and sept. 13 of this year, so it will leave me with 3 left. 1 speeding, 1 running a stop sign, and the accident one. But I was told by my school that the accident one they wont look at. So someone let me know.

in most states, insurance companies dont even look before 3 years earlier. but a wreck, regaurdless of injury or non, will show up on your driving record, espically if police were called and a report was filed or accident companies were called.

Most states except for WA, OR, OK, and MN allow companies to charge you for up to 5 years first of all. Second, if the police are called and file a report, it will show up on your MVR however under the type of infraction it will show "accident" instead of "speeding" or something like that. If you recieve a ticket, you will be charged for the ticket and the accident. The "accident" on an MVR will be treated as an accident and not a violation unless you actually got a ticket.
