Hey everyone i'm new to the board and found this forum particularly interesting. I used to have an 11 second mustang, but street racing is the reason WHY I now own an '02 civic...

One night in February i was issued a summons for 'Contest of speed/unauthorized race on public hwy'. My license and criminal record were both clean at the time. My vehicle was not seized, nor was I arrested. I am, however, facing misdemeanor charges and have had to hire a lawyer.

Has anyone else been in the same boat? I'm hoping to retain my license and get away with just a fine. I do not wish to incur any points on my license, but if I am offerred a plea bargain it may be worth it.

Let me experience also be a deterrent to those who do race. I never planned on getting caught, but this event has definetely changed my outlook on cars and autosports in general. Thank you
