smog check

i know i have 3 years before i have to worry about this, but would i be able to pass the smog check with my 2.25 inch exhaust piping and apexi n1 muffler? i guess the reason that i'm asking this now is because recently, it seems like the exhaust fumes are getting stronger...and there's been this weird smell that i haven't smelled before. im not saying that i go around smelling the fumes ...but its really weird.

so anyways, would i be able to pass the smog check? i remember asking one of the members here...he answered all of my questions except for this one.

and would i run into any problems with the apexi n1 muffler (since its not carb legal...at least i think its not...it didnt come with a sticker or anything)?

yup, its 12:23 right now, and im tired...so i apologize for the sloppy writing

Aftermarket exhaust is not a CARB issue. In my 9+years at this shop, we have never failed a car because of aftermarket exhaust. Underhood mods are a different animal. They need to have a CARB sticker. We have failed plenty of vehicles for that.

it's no problem!!?? Are you familiar with Cali's smog laws? You better have a CARB sticker for any part under the hood, or it is a big failure!! We had a kid with a Toyota with an aftermarket header. No CARB sticker, we failed it even though the seller indicated it was smog legal. He had to go thru the manufacturer to get the CARB sticker so it could be passed legally.
