I was pulled over the other evening and given a speeding ticket. I was at a stoplight and turned left onto a main route and the second I rounded the corner a cop was a couple hundred feet up the road and all his reflectors blinked in my headlights. I immidiately applied the breaks while looking at my speedometer. I was going 40 in a 35. He pulled me over and said I was going 56, and laughed at my request to see the speed detection device he used to clock me. I went back the next day and it was 0.12 miles from the stop light to where to cop was. Considering I saw him the second I rounded the corner, and started to slow down, I had probably gone 0.05 miles before deacellerating. I weigh 200, my buddy next to me almot 250, and I had three 45 pound wheels in my trunk since I had just taken off my nice wheels for the winter. Considering this, it is physically impossible for me to have accellerated to 56 miles per hour with half the distance being around a sharp corner. I'm definitely fighting this, am going to take pictures of the area etc. Any one know if its PA state law that they have to show me the reading if I ask and know where I can find this law officially if it exists. I'm not from PA, and am unfamiliar with the laws. Any other advice to help me fight this from those who know PA law would be great. If I lose its 4 points out of 6 on my liscense and $165. Thanks!

officer discretion on whether not to show you the radar speed. sometimes i let them see, other times i do not.
