yah i wont ever drink and drive but we were just chilling and cops came with breatalizers lol i didnt think we were gonna get the cops called but we got screwed over. i wont drink for about 5 or 6 more years but i would like to know whats gonna happen
ill let you know oct. 13th...i have a court date for an underage possession charge (had a cup in my hand, prior to the ALE coming i had 3 sips of my beer). But im sure it will have nothing to do with insurance if you weren't driving, DUI and DWI charges are serious and dont f**k with those, do you have to go to court? i think im going to have to pay the ticket cost ($125 in NC) and take a drunk class...but yea, im not drinkin for 2 years til im 21...its not worth it man...not to mention being in college its everywhere, ALE gave 200 citations here in one day at a football tailgating party, definately not worth it

yah the cop said i'd get a letter in the mail telling my my court date but i havent got it yet. i really hope it doesnt affect my insurance, the cop said the court could take my license away 30-90 days. does that mean it will go on my insurance? i'd never ever ever drink and drive though. definately not worth it. lol a guy i work with is 19 and he got 2 DUI's. he's pretty much screwwed but if anyone knows if it affects my insurance please do tell

that has nothing at all to do with your insurance what so ever. if you were not driving, they cant do crap with your insurance. it just like if you get a parking ticket, that wont do anything to your insurance either since you were not in the car driving it.
yea, i really dont see how you could lose your license either if you weren't driving, i know a guy who had his permit and got a DUI, never lost his license, he just got his date to get his license pushed back a year.
ok went to court yesterday and heres the verdict...
DO THE USUAL OBLIGATED STUFF! Ie: wear a tie, dont go in there looking like a bum. When you talk to the judge, and DA, be respectful...no respect, gets you no respect. Be on time, and ask what options you have. These were mine, 24hrs comm service ($200 comm service fee in NC) come back in Nov. and its off your record, or this is what i took/got...12hr comm service ($200 comm service fee) and an alcohol assessment class, $40 on campus here and i think an alcohol/drug test, and when i do this its off my record. But it varies state by state, but since you're under 19 and 20(varies on the age too) you'll get similar to this. But good luck, if you plead guilty without a prayer for judgement you'll have a 100-200 fine and $100 court costs, but its on your record

Messed up thing is they will take you license if you drop out of school if you are under 18.If you have it like when u turn 16 and you drop out of school they will suspend it till you turn 18. Otherwise you just cant get it till you turn 18.
You getting caught wont raise your insurance unless you was driving. So dont worry about that. But some states (like mine) might take your license until your 18 or 21. Just got to find out the laws in your city/county/state.
