Ok got a question. A friend of mine told me this main toll road was already paid for but still charging the toll, but they cant legally enforce paying the toll, or punish you for not paying. Is this true?? It makes since kinda, the toll has gone way up the *** recently & its a pain, so Id rather just blow through it, but I dont want a huge ticket. We have this toll bridge by my house, takes all my spare change cuz I use it all the time, this thing has been there for over 10 years, theres no way it hasnt been paid off. Plus when I go through there I havent seen any posted fine warnings or cameras, so I blow through it occasionally & havent got anything yet. I think im safe on this one, but I dont know about the other one.

I also heard that they give you like 3 times before they bust your ***. Again, is this true?? A friend of mine says he never pays the tolls & has never gotten anything, but I dont know if I believe him.

Anybody know if this loophole is true, or just a ticket waiting??



Oh one more thing, if you got a ticket for this would it affect your insurance?? I doubt it would, but thought I would ask anyway.

well iknow the tolls around here have cameras so i don't go thorugh it without paying cause i don't want no unneccessary ticket but my friend told me he just goes thoruhg them to and he hasn't gotten any ticket yet so IDK.

Well, I'll just say that in IL they cracked down. After you've skipped so many tolls they start counting. Once they do that, it's a $50 ticket for every toll you've skipped. Some people out here were hit with huge fines!



also, Some ramp plazas are attended, however most are not and require payment in coins or I-PASS. Signs are posted prior to the entrance or exit indicating the need for exact change at the ramp. Failure to pay a toll risks an immediate $75 moving violation ticket issued by police on site.

i was once on my way to this race spot. and i was follwing my friend.
its like 12 oclock at night. anywho we come across this toll getting off the highway and the only road that was open was an exact change road!! which sucked!! cuz i thought i could just go through one of the booths that gave you change. so when it was my turn at the booth it took me like 10 minutes to pay the damn thing!
because i was scrounging up as much change as i could. i was throwing everything in there! nickels, dimes, pennies, bottle caps anything that resembled a coin. lucky for my @ss i was able to come up with enough to pay the damn thing. here in FL they dont play when it comes to tolls.

If you are refering to either the North Dallas Tollway or George Bush Turnpike YES they will mail you a ticket. The ND Tollway has been around along time BUT they are still working on it (Brand new construction north in Frisco) so its not paid for. I have had several freinds get MAJOR tickets, so I wouldnt BS around!

^^ true that the north dallas tollway and george bush will straight up crack your *** with a ticket. ive had to run them a few times because i had no money, but luckily havent gotten a ticket yet. i know people that have though.
