Does anyone know if a red neon plate frame on the the rear plate would be illegal in Illinois?
I know its legal to have red lighting on the rear and amber/clear on the front, does that include neons? anyone know if its legal or not?

ALL colors of NEON are illegal in Illinois. The cop told me this when he stopped me for underglows. Color doesn't matter, nor does placement. It's illegal no matter where it is.

ur right dude, i might have seen u around, or vice versa... we need to get local ppl together for a meet or something.. i know centralillinoisimports.org does meets but last time i looked on their site it was in decatur or something.. just a thought :P

most likely in any jurisdiction its going to be illegal. espically if it moves around the plate(not constantly lit)

Some departments in the chicago area will let you get away with it but it is still illegal. Red, and blues are thier main concern but you may still get a ticket if you are not parked. Driving is one thing and parked is another. My step-dad is a Will county Deputy sherriff and he likes the import scene. He doesnt mind all the tiny little things that we do that are illegal. Some cops are just ****.
