Rep Power: 309 Amplified Devices 50ft.
hey everyone,
this is my 2nd ticket and have few questions about this one...
first heres the story: i was driving down the road like a normal driver, no speeding no nothing. my music level was at 21/40 volume with 2 12's in the back. bitch pulled me over n told me she writing me up ticket for loud music. she said the music was vibrating her whole car . iuno how the hell that can happen when i turn up the volume on max next to my frends car, it didnt even tingle his. (his was an acura tl sedan if it matters).
Violation: 27007 CVC AMPLIFIED DEVICES 50 FEET
so heres my question about this situation
1) Will this go on my driving record? if yes, is their a way i can cover this up for driving school?
2) Whats the estimate cost for this ticket? this ticket was issued in Alameda/California. yes, this city is a poor town and im assuming its gonna be a higher amount then usual.
3) Anything i should know before paying for ticket or similar to it?
thanks,
Tommy

Rep Power: 270 here in maine, it would go on your drivers history. usually fines for violations such as this wont run you that high. of course laws are different in each state, here if the music that is emitting from the vehicle is loud enough to disturb individuals outside the vehicle then it is too loud. so basically dont turn your volume up toooooo loud then your ok. most likely your music vibrate her whole cruiser, but it must have ben loud enough for her to question it. i would just pay it as it may be hard to contest it.

Rep Power: 0 On your ticket you were given a court date and the info for that court...call the number provided and ask them if that violation goes on your record or not. I dont think it would because its not a moving violation. I wonder if 'CVC' means its a civil code...
Its hard finding statues on the Cali statute site. I searched 'amplified devices' and got 628 results.

Rep Power: 0 i got one of these today!!! is there any way to contest it? like... how can they prove that it was loud? I have 2 amps for my subs, one of them's out for repair... could i go to court and contest and say that it would have been impossible for them to really hear my stereo because my amp is under repair, and i could show them the receipts and stuff?

Rep Power: 309 thanks for the help everyone.
and i dont think u should fight against it unless u really didnt play loud music. if u think u can lie about it... its all on officers consent. and if u think about it, that officer has pretty good backup plans if u try to fight against it. so why bother? i say pay the fine n go along with it. i would've done the same but i know i'll lose the case.
and is their a site that has all the violations ? i wanna check that out sumtime.
thanks,
Tommy

Rep Power: 309 if u try to fight against the officer in court, most likely that officer has the advantage becuz he or she has the government on their side. unless u have proof that u didnt play that loud music. you cant just take out ur system after the ticket n takes pics of ur car without it in it becuz the court can easily say "how do i know it wasnt in their at the time"? its kinda hard to explain. bleh
hope that helps

Rep Power: 0 well it actually has happened to me before...
i got pulled over, the cops told me to get out of the car, they cuffed me, told me to sit on the curb, searched my car for drugs. right after they searched my trunk and saw my subs one of them says "you know why we pulled you over? because of loud music" but then.. there was one problem... i didn't have a headunit (it was under repair). I didn't want to argue any more and so they let me go

first, i thought u really did play loud music but want to lie about it to the judge BUT after u said ur system was under, that got me but my question to this is did u really play loud music and u think the officer heard ur music?
and for the trunk part, did u let them search it or did they have sumthin on u?

Rep Power: 0 nono.. like.. this happened before, long time ago (never got a ticket for it).. but then 2 days ago was when i got my ticket that im trying to contest.
and for the trunk part, they didn't have anything on me but they just told me to get out of my car, and i didn't know what was going on or why they told me to get out, because they never gave me a reason for pulling me over. (but this was over a year ago)

Rep Power: 0 CVC stands for Califorina Vehicle Code. The ticket is a moving violation and obviously is not correctable. You can't go to the CHP office or a Sheriff's station and try to get it written. It's only an infraction, but still, a ticket is a ticket.

i was thinking of this before i bought my amps, so coming from a science standpoint..... low bass is low frequency and does not necessarily mean amplitude. loudness is measured in decibals. so shaking the cop's car could be due to really low frequency with hopefully low amplitude thus meaning not a loud decibal reading. so technically, just b/c they can hear/feel it from a far distance, it doesn't SCIENTIFICALLY mean it's LOUD in dbs. but we all know the law of physics won't win against the law of the road cuz it's fawkign GAY like that.
