i was speeding down the parkway 65mph doing 87. i was basically going along with traffic.
me and this other car pass a cop and the car infront of me pulls over right away and the cop still follows me..i pulled over wen he turned on his lights and i wus wondering about the other car. soon after i pulled over the other car came back. after talkin to both of us and giving us both our tickets..i went home without even checking the ticket. when i got home i looked at it and it was the other guys ticket, because it wus the wrong car and info.

so im wondering if there is anyway i can get out of it or anything since the cop gave us the wrong ticket. i heard things about poeple getting their tickets voided since the ticket had wrong information.

Obviously you have to call the police station and/or the court clerk and tell them that you got the wrong info. If the the other guy doesn't do anything, you're likely going to get a warrant put out on you for non payment of a ticket. First and foremost get the right info for your ticket.

But if you go on to fight the ticket, it could be somewhat helpful. SO be sure to keep a copy and keep the names of everyone you deal with. This cop messed up big time and it shouyld be a good enough reason to let you off. BUT CALL THE COURT TODAY!
