Is this legal?
I got a custom cat back exhaust on my car. I did not do anything to the catalytic converter. The other day when I was driving a cop pulled me over and told me to rev my engine. I reved it only to about 2,500 rpms and right away he just said it was illegal before checking anything...

Rep Power: 0 Modified exhausts of any kind are illegal in the state of CA. When us Arizonans go to CA. for a visit, we are usually stopped and ticketed for our modified exhausts even though they are legal in AZ and we are only visiting CA. We asked our stopping officer what the deal is with modified exhausts and the response we got from him was all exhausts in CA.were illegal due to srict emmission control laws.

Rep Power: 323 I guess there is one good thing about Iowa....nothing you do to your car is illegal. I have been pulled over many times for my underbody but I have never had to pay a ticket for it, and I have never been pulled over for anything else either, they are way lenient on Ricers here.....
