Stolen Motor ?
I was wondering how hard is it to get caught with a stolen motor installed in your car?
What happens when you get caught and what kinda trouble are you looking at(Jail time/fines)?
Is it worth the cheap price or is it a pain in the a*#
B/c i know a few guys willing to get a K20 for 300

my friend bought a stolen gsr motor a while back, about 5 months ago, all that happen was that the police came to his house and took away the motor. No fines, no jail time, just took it away.

If you buy a stoen motor and you know its not legit (didnt buy it at a store, no receipt, cash only) and the cops find it they can prosicute you for recieving stolen merchandise and if the value is over 500 it is a felony. BTW this is in NY. Learned this last night in Bussiness Law class. But I wouldnt worry how are they gonna know its stolen.

btw, even if you do grind off the serial numbers and such, they are still present and able to be raised. when they stamp them, it changes the composition in the metal, which is how forensic scientists are able to trace guns with serials grinded off of them back through the owner(s). even though you can see it, they are still there.

who the hell would steal a motor, I mean are these people stealing them out of cars or from shops. If they are doing it out of cars, that must be a pain in the ***. These kinds of people make me so mad everyday. those are the kinds of people that would take away someone **** that they spent hard earned money on.
