Illinois lighting laws?

I was wondering if undercar neons are legal here in Illinois. I just ordered a blue kit. Is it okay to drive around with? I looked through the laws but couldn't find anything specific about this. The light wouldn't be flashing, just on all the time.

Are you sure? I thought neons were illegal in some states (I know in Nevada it is).

Are you serious? So I can have my blue neon underbody kit on when driving as long as it doesn't flash? And I'll be hiding the tubes under the kit so they won't be seen. Thanks for the info!

Gearbox,
I am pretty sure that you can't have your neons on while driving, so go to your police station and ask. Easy and straight foreward.

I'm from Urbana. I got stopped the first day they were installed and on. I guess they're strict about it. They're illegal except when parked--in Illinois (state law).
