Ok, so i got my first ticket the other night...62-45 on a back country road at like 12:30 am..anyways, i obviously would like to get out of it so im tryin to think of ways to fight it. and i was talking to my friend whos brother is a NJ state trooper and his brother told him that in Jersey that theres a law that a cop MUST put a radar stamp on the ticket if he radars someone to make it valid... he doesnt know about VA, but does anyone? any help would be appreciated.

i have never heard of that.

But most depts have an option on the ticket where the officer selects whether he paced or radared you at that speed. You should prolly just ask for traffic school and keep it off your record if its your first ticket.
