My newest project

As of last year, some parts on my car were quite ghetto. This being a new year i decided it was a wise to redo some of them a lot less half assed. The first thing to go needed to be my intercooler piping which consisted of plumbing supplies from home depot and some parts from a dish washer in found in the garbage. I happened to have my trust MIG welder, cut offs, belt grinders, and whatever else I need lieing around in my garage so I ordered up some mandrel bends. I decided to follow the same route as I had before. Fitting 2.5" pipes where I did was nearly impossible. It required a lot of tack welding / cutting /welding to get it all to fit together nicely. The J pipe I built allowed me to keep my stock rad fan which is very nice. Most kits require the use of aftermarket fans. It isn't paint yet as you can see from the picture. My ugly jb weld was just to make sure all the welded were sealed properly. I'm sick of boost leaks lol.

The test drive.

What a difference. I step on the gas full boost hits no joke 800 rpm earlier, my power starts to come on around 3200 rpm now rather than 4000rpm which is much much more appropriate for a turbo my size. It pulls much harder all the way through the rpms. I was enjoy this new found power, when the only part I kept from my old setup decided to explode... PVC rubber coupler are not to be used as a replacement for reinforced silicone couplers.

and one of my tire for whatever reason lol

Next project? an exhaust maybe? mouahaha, is 3.5" to big?

Lol, I just bought another car. The clutch will have to wait a little while. no racing for me yet . But the clutch and flywheel will be my next mod, that's for sure. then maybe some less rusty fenders.

I bought a 1996 Tercel Sport edition. whooping 92hp, 1/4 tank of gas has gone 180km so far . Thats almost 4 times as good as my van. Hopefully it will save me some money in gas bills. I was spending nearly 350$ in gas a month with my van, which sucked.

Car status update: To fix my power steering leak I had to drop my rack, so I did that and changed those stupid lines, no leaks by the looks of it anymore. My alingment is soooo sooo far from being on its creepy.

Things left to do:

Get an alingment
Get my silicone coupler in the mail
New air filter

And I'm ready for summer

Call me, I'm free all friday basically and thursday night. I can't weld if i don't have pipes :P, and I can't weld aluminum with my welder (I'd need a different gas and a different wire).
