Well HID Kit coming in
Well ok, so a lot of people are bashing the TYC with HID with bad beam spread, 0 line and reduced visibility BUT I bought them anyways and want to see for myself.
So, in about a weeks time they should be in.
I'll have to drill out the back of the TYC most likely to make'em fit ... so if anyone wants to help, let me know.
I bought the McCollough kit, again people bashing that ... but this is the gen V ballast - and my uncle's got the gen IV with no problems in his car. Anyways I hope it looks good when its done.

hids are cool, the only reason the beam pattern will be terrible is because the tyc was made for a bulb that uses a fillement where as HIDs usually use some kind of projector. Look up retro fitting them. Where people take the projectors off say a CTS or something with them and stuff the whole thing inside their head lights, gives you the cut off and the increased light. Since the TYC is already a projector i can't see it being very hard to retro fit another car's projector in place of the TYC's if you can find one of a similair size.

How much was your kit Mike? I don't know if I want to do the HID's either in my stock headlights or buy the TYC's and do it in those. Either way thats one of my summer projects.

Kit cost $305 USD, H1, free shipping to US
TYC cost $129 USD + $59 shipping - then the biatch wouldnt send to my school address, so I got hit with $44 CDN brokerage, gay
I'd suggest waiting to see what happens with mine, there is going to be a fitment issue with getting the HID bulb into the TYC, and then there is going to be a wiring issue (getting the H4 stock honda connector to fit into the H1 connector that comes with the H1 HID Kit).
Its gonna be a bitch *** fun time getting it all working.

yah I'm sorting out the wiring issue now, will really only find out when I get the kit in ... But I think I got it figured out. Give me 2 weeks and I'll have the verdict.
