Correct me if I'm wrong but Cold Air Intakes draw air from somewhere with cold air, usually under the engine, whereas a Short RAM intake draws air from the engine compartment and is generally warmer air.

The Cold Air comes out at the bottom of car near the pavement. If you hit a good puddle it sucks up water. With the K&N FIPK there is a heat sheild that blocks off the hot air.It still doesn't matter it's not like you're gonna get a big horse gain anyways..Maybe a couple hampsters.

yeah thats what I meant.

only wasn't sure if it only draws from under the car, and not above as well.

Them FIPK aren't too cheap.I put one on my RAM and Trans Am and they're about $600.00 apiece.

So I guess you went for the custom exhaust from Dan's muffler shop?? You can't go wrong with that setup, it's a really big pipe and it's got NO clamps throughout the length of it. Mine has 3 clamps holding the pieces together. Ima thinking of getting a straight pipe eventually and getting rid of the clamps. Anyways If you had bought Hemi's exhaust it would have been cheaper for you, then you could have used that extra money for something else.

just a thought here boys and girls... i'm going to florida on wednesday, and i was thinking, that i should buy some parts down there for my car and bring it across the border... for some reason i'm flying down and my mom is taking the HEMI down there... that's going to be a biotch on gas... hahahaha... but i mean... wouldn't it be cheaper for me to buy parts down there, give them to my mom, then bring em across the border and hopefully she doesn't get nailed for duty???
