Rep Power: 281 Test drove the '06
thats right bitches! test drove a 5spd black EX yesterday with a buddy of mine. He is working for JTF2 (Canadian special forces) and is looking at picking up something nice so I told him about the new vic. The main issue I had with the car is modding....there is absolutley no way of changin' your headers or stereo system. I'm sure some aftermarket company will make something up but I have a felling it will cost a alot. Another issue i had was the front of the car, it just seems way to small....it's almost as if we had to cut our hoods in half just to get an 06 hood. The car definetly seems to love turns as me and my buddy ripped it on the walkley bridge bend. Off the bend it seemed peppy in acceleration too. After ripping the shit out of this car I still feel the RSX would kick it's *** easy.
MSRP for an 06 (5spd) $21,500 a bit high don't you think?
The dealer told me that the Si's will be very limited and they wont have alot of them in Ottawa he said they are scheduled to receive only 5 at Civic Motors (which I think is BS)...oh and the price tag on a new Si...$27,000

Rep Power: 291 Mike, They have the DX, LX, and EX. All of which have 140 HP. The difference is the trim package. DX having hubcaps, and no added bonuses. LX has 16" alloy wheels, power everything and A/C. The EX has everything the LX has PLUS a moonroof, 4 wheel disk breaks, and all black interior (also a larger chrome exhaust tip) There is no more SiR. The highest model is now the Si (being relased in December.) and as far as Civic motors only getting 5 in, thats BS. If people want them, they will have plenty. Thats just a sales gimick to try and make them sound more appealing. The Si will run the pocket book about 30G's after taxes and freight. Seeing as how the EX is like 24K plus.
A little pricey IMO but you do get alot more for your money. (compared to the 7thgens.) If you look on Can East, Denny has an awsome '06 review with pictures.
Mike, US and Canada all have the same trim packages. no more EX/Si/SiR BS

Rep Power: 291 Yeah and to top it off, they stayed with front stuts!!! McPhearson to I do believe, but a "better IMPROVED" model. I read that in my Honda Tuning magazine.
Jim, you thinking somehwere along the lines of an STi so he can get rear ended and you can take his engine?

They said the same thing for the SIR. Only a limited sent to Ottawa. every dealer had very few. The price tag was high just like the SI and there was no room to deal. Tured out the SIR was not a big seller. I really think that $27,000 is way to hight for a civic. I guess well see how much of a seller it is

Rep Power: 0 Like I said before $30k for a civic is not worth it. The Si version will be as common as the SiR's ... which are few and far between.
I'd just want to know which models have coupe verions with them? Like is there an EX coupe etc ... You'll see those around alot, similarly to our Si's. But you'll hardly ever see a 2006 Si around.
