well obviously. no one can compare to Mugen. I just checked out the Honda web site. They are suposedly being put into showrooms on October 4th. The SiR is being released in December, they say the civic will have 140 hp I assume thats the Si version and the LX/DX will have something like 127 or something non-vtec. input?
Edit: Well I looked around and as it looks the sedan's and coupes will all be 1.8L i-Vtec 140hp. They've done away with non v-tec on the LX/DX Guess they are all considered SI's now.

but dude i went to Ottawa Honda for the grand revealing and the civic is no longer the civic.what i mean is that the civic that most of us have (SI)ex in the states which is fully loaded comes no where close to the new 8th gen civic. Our cars or go-carts compared to the new civic.it comes with..... see what i mean,i know the Satellite-Linked Navigation System is extra but that was not offered last year, this is not goin to be a normal civic, plus the fact that it has a 197hp engine

When you guys say Si. you mean SiR There is (for now) only the sedan and coupe (140HP i-vtec) and the hybrid (110HP) The SiR hasn't been released yet (in canada) it will be released in December.

to me ... the SiR just seems like an underpowered RSX type S, or a wannabe Integra type R.
Lets face it the type R had 200 or 210 hp, and that was a previous generation model. Last year they made those they were about $31,000, when I checked them out new.
So the Civic is now about that price, but doesn't even really match the old type R
To me not worth it.
