Cops can do whatever they want, we don't live in a perfect world where they never break the law themselves. Maybe he wouldn't have arrested you, but he could've owned you by taking away your camera.

well, i don't know if you are from Ottawa or even Canada for that matter, but cops just don't go around taking things from ppl cause they don't like what you are doing. Even if he did, he would get reprimanded in a second.
