Rep Power: 270 I think I should get this done too .. seeing how I want rims (+etc etc) but well have plans Saturday evening so cannot exactly take that trip then, though I truly wonder how hard it is to do to paint caliper & drums by oneself - I mean others do it right? Someone wanna fill this noob in on how? And/or perhaps shove in the direction of a DIY guide
As for an install meet .. nothing to install here really (unless I actually purchase the stuff .. but then really a shop should take care of me - as I'd hope they do), but I'd come to watch if available

Rep Power: 292 Calipers and drums = easy as all hell, but alot of work, especially if they've never been done before. It involves ALOT of sanding, and cleaning, than priming, and finally painting. It's alot of work, but well worth it in the long run.

Rep Power: 0 I have this giagantic sander made for sanding huge things, I put a steel brush wheel in it (it spins around and around) and it eats up anything near it, used it to redo my rims. It had 4 rims stripped down in about 30 minutes, I bet it could do brakes too if your kinda careful.

Rep Power: 292 Ok Well Shaneer said he would hook us up with paper and tape, so I'll pick up a can of silver caliper paint and silver primer from crappy tire.
Won Young, the only tools you will need is your car jack.
Oh I'll bring some plastic as well, this way we won't end up painting our cars.
um.. Can anyone bring a jack (like the one Freddy has) this way it will be faster to do more cars at once, as you can lift the whole front or rear of the car with one jack

Rep Power: 303 dammit, I need to study for exams too.. can't make it
my car needs a solid engine wash though
Norek, last time I cleaned my engine I used that orange degreaser from Crappy Tire, let it sit for 10 min. and then scrubbed the hell out of the engine.. After that sprayed down with water, and put tire foam on as the final step Not the greatest idea, cuz it got sticky, put it looked good I gotta find an engine detailer to use instead of tire foam this time lol
