with the weather we have in ottawa who's civics have rattles, creaks and buzzes?

mine does and its driving me insane, does anyone else have this? my car is only 4 months old and i have more rattles in this car than my previous honda, a 14 year old honda prelude....that car was much more solid that my new civic will ever be.

I have a loud buzz coming from my drivers side door panel and a rattle/knocking noise on bumpy roads coming from the rear

also my stupid pocket under my stereo squeeks everytime i open it!!!

does anyone have any of the above, ive gone to otttawa honda 3 times for the above and nothing is fixed!!! is it a bad idea to try out different dealers for warranty work???

Ya sometimes i have some rattling or creaking but I think its just cuz of the cold weather, unless you notice something is truly unusual then i guess u should get it checked out asap. A lot of the panels will rattle because when it is cold, the pieces become harder ..

I think warranty will work at any Honda Dealer.. go ahead and try it out ! good luck!

sometimes the squeaking you hear in the rear deck is ice wedged between the rear windshield and the trunk.

yah lots of creaking from back end when its freezing out and stuff

especially if i go up a hill slanted sounds like thehwole car is twisting and gonna kinda crack in half hahahaha

hehe, obviously you have never had a ride in my car yet. With the suspension I have my car feels and sounds like a tank in the winter. Its really retarded. It actually painfull to drive down some roads. I can't drive on Carling, which sucks because I live right beside it. If I did drive down Carling I would have to go 10k and it would still be terrible. It sounds like my car is falling apart sometimes.


My friends CRX was worse. He had a suspension setup similar to mine, but with the much shorter wheelbase it was crazy. He had the interior stripped out though, so all you hear is the creaking and banging metal.

K-Man, yeah this cold sucks ***!! my suspension makes noises to, I get squeakes, clunks, rattles, it'll stop in the spring. Like MIR said, turn up your music. I wouldn't worry about it too much though!

Yeah, apparently that was a known problem for Honda with pre-03 Civics.. I had to take mine in like 3 or 4 times before they finally took off the entire rear panel and put in new padding. Turns out they guys working on my car cracked the inner rear panels when replacing the back panel too. Had to get that replaced as well.. *sigh*

yeah, from day 2,out of the dealer, I had squeeking sound from door pannel. and was an earth shake when I got a sub into it .

I usually get some squeeking but WD40 does the trick. I haven't really noticed any squeeking as of late.
