Ottodrome
Hey guys, i just wanted to let everyone know about this great event that is happening on May 28th 5-9pm. Officer Chris Parent will be hosting this event. It is a recap of last years event. Insurance agents, paralegals services, and OPP/RCMP will be out to educate, inform guys with nice cars of the laws, and tips on how to avoid trouble. Extreme Auto care will have a booth at this event. So come out and show your support for the sport companct community. The Officers will be escorting all those who show up at Leon's on Qwy & Pinecrest at 415 to the track. They will have their biks and cars with lights flashing, what an amazing scene.
Details below:
Hello to all,
David of Ottodrome and I would like to do a repeat of last year's event. The basic premise is to educate everyne about the laws/penalties and other consequences (legal representation costs/
insurance) of street racing and showcase alternatives. Hopefully many owners of modified cars will attend (last year's skepticism no longer
exists?) and can display/ show off their cars and there is no fee for this..... we need you to attract teenagers to the event- they are the target group who are more likely to street race with mom's car loaded with friends and result in injury/death. A side benefit is the positive media about your culture (last year it was reported country wide- mind you that we don't benefit from Hollywood movie release this year).
Thanx guys.

If you are coming from Ottawa west- We are located 2 exits past the Corel Center which is exit 145 (Hwy #7). Continue on Hwy #7 for 4kms and we are located on the right hand side. You can see Ottodrome signs leading up to the exit on the queensway and on Hwy #7. It may look far, but we are only 5 minutes from Kanata.

LOL sounds cool, but it also makes it a helluvalot easier for cops to make HUGE lists of all the modded out cars in the Ottawa area. I'd be weary of going
prove me wrong and I might consider going

DNA, dont worry, this happened last year, and alot of people were afraid to go because of the same reason, the cops gave guarentees that they will not pull over anyone, and the didnt, so this year more people will be going.
and even, almost everything all of us have on our cars is legal, escpecially u

Abe...there are many things on our cars that are illegal...for example lowering springs, blue neons, blue light bulbs etc. (don't forget about the new by-law)
I kinda agree with Dna on this one we might as well park our rides infront of the cops and show them what we got...next time one of them spots us they pull us over!

blue neons inside the car is completely legal and as for blue bulbs, i don't know about you, but i don't have blue, i have hyper white PIAA's, blue is illegal, white isn't, just because the bulbs apear blue, doesn't mean they are blue...

any aftermarket parts which alter the look of your car or enhance the performance of your car are illegal in Ontario. So if your car does come lower and does have 19 ich rims with a lip kit stock it's okay to have. My teacher taught us some of the new by-laws in my civil/criminal law class...seems like Donald's friend found out the hard way by getting pulled over (damn cops!)
