Taking insurance company to court

Has anyone ever taken their insurance company to court? Do you have to get a lawyer that only deals with insurance companies or can you hire any lawyer? Does anyone know a good lawyer lol.

I would guess that most lawyers could handle that one. I've never known anyone to have taken their insurance companies to court before but in your case I would in a second...you got screwed....

Caryn, all my sympathy is with you and Julian. I am so sorry for this **** you are now going through. I mean, c'mon, you and Julian got **** on by some bloomin' friggin' idiot in the first place who hit your car when he absolutely had no right driving in the first place. Then, the insurance co. wants to pour more salt in the already existing wound by not fixing your already fixed vic that was so not fixed right in the first place? DAMN! I really am sorry for the both of you, this is such ****. I would think that if you sue the insurance company, they would hire a specialty lawyer to defend them for they have the money to do so. I would personally hire a specialty lawyer dealing only with insurance companies (a lawyer who only prosecutes ins. companies). But, they cost bucks, you may be able to find one that will not require a retainer fee and will collect money from you once you win a settlement (he/she will take percentage of your settlement winnings from ins. co. if you win). Please look into one like that and see if you guys have any like that. I am sure you do for general lawyers, but, specialty ones that specialize in particular fields may be harder to come by like that. I would also personally sue this guy who hit you for damges, all out of pocket money, and the duress he has caused you and Julian. What has happened to bloomin' friggin' idiot btw? Best wishes and good luck to both of you.
