Full Coilover Alternatives... Trust me, take a look and read

I see many of you guys are looking for full coilovers. Many of you want them because you know they are A. Adjustable, B. should ride good, and C. sounds good when you say you have full coils .

In reality, many true coilover systems are not made for the street. Since most of you are looking at choices A. and B. I will explain how ride comfort with coilovers gets a bit killed.

Full coilovers are meant for race applications. They have what is a Non-Progressive spring. That means that the spring is for example 350LBS through out. A spring like the eibach sportline if you've noticed is progressive spring rated. At the top, you may be at near stock about 150-170LBS. As the spring compresses more, you progressivley go to a heavier weight allowing the ride to get firmer. If your driving your car mostly on the street, a progressive rate is best or else you will be bouncing all day long.

Now to cover part A. Adjustability: Most of you know that when you adjust something on your car which is hard to get to, you do it once and thats it. Many full coilovers are height adjustable for race use. You will most likley adjust your height 1 or 2 times.

So, in the end ive compiled a list of products to consider when looking at suspension performance. You dont want to have something totally overkill for street and then use something under for the track. Take a look:

Street Use Only/Daily Driver:
Tokico HP Shocks $399 Shipped
Eibach Sportline or Eibach Pro Kit $199-219 Shipped

Street Use but looking for some competitive enthusiasm while driving:

Tokico HP Shocks $399 Shipped
H&R Sport Springs $199 Shipped

Street use/weekend auto-x'r:
Koni Yellow Shocks SPECIAL $565 Shipped
HR Sport Springs Or Eibach Sportlines $199 Shipped

Less Street Use/Mostly Road Race and Auto-x
Koni Yellow Shocks SPECIAL $565 Shipped
Ground Control Coilovers 350LBS FR/450LBS RR $339 Shipped

Road Race Only
Neuspeed Koni Yellow Shocks (they are re-valved koni's to handle more spring rate) PLEASE CALL FOR PRICING
Ground Control Coilovers 500+LBS FR/500+LBS RR $339 Shipped

PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR LINKS FOR EACH PRODUCT OR CALL US AT 877-408-4348 and mention this link.

We have all of these products available and would like to help you choose the right one. Ofcourse, always remember, adjusting the camber on the car can not only save tires but also yeild great results on the track and street:

yeah, they're still awesome for the crappy roads of Toronto. another thing is that its a straight swap for the stock suspension, no dicking around with konis in stock struts.

Great info! This really helped! Now all I gotta do is get me some money...
Hope it doesn't take too long

BTW: Noticed you don't offer Tein S Tech... but... I've got a question. What's the difference between these and the Eibach Pro or Sportlines? Thanks.

both would be awsome with GC's. Koni's are a bit rougher for more race purpose. But the D Specs are drop in adn go, koni's need cutting in front.
