Did you get the correct set with correct spring rates?
i beleive those black metal peices are for the ABS bracket. D2 coilovers don't have the bracket welded to them. So you attach the metal bracket via one of the bolts and then you bend it into place. You attach the ABS line into the U part.

Sorry for not getting back to everybody sooner. We were out of 10k springs and had to have more air mailed in. In addition I was out of town for the holiday weekend. The springs arrived this morning and any replacement springs are being shipped out this afternoon.

i am also paranoid. I got my springs today, two of the are labeled 8. THe third is labeled 5 and the Fourth spring is not labeled. The Third and fourth springs are different sizes. The 4th spring is far thicker then the 3rd spring.
I called Michael today, and he Told me The original sets that were incorrectly marked. Most of All of them where shipped with 6k spring rates on all 4 shocks.
Even with ^^^ that said, My original front and rear springs are NOT the same size. The rears are the same height as the fronts, but lack ONE coil. So now I have no idea which Spring is a 6k Spring.
I measured my 8K spring (which is clearly marked with a white marker on the spring itself). It is exactly 8 1/4 inches in height.
I need to know how many coils and how tall does a Spring with 6k measure up too?

Well, VNlilMan suggest To put it on the car first. Doing so will lock the top mount down via the strught towers and the bolt will easily come off. But for our situations, this wouldnt be practical. Theres gotta be another way to secure the top mount so the strut does not spin while we try to take the bolt off. Maybe Air gun?

the guy on ebay probably isnt including pillowball mounts. also they probably arent authorized dealers as www.urbanimport.com and one other company are the only D2 dealers in America.
