Hey Gearbox - I'm bringing my car back to stock. I'm trading it in sometime in the next few months for something new. Might as well spread the wealth of my LEDs!!!

I'm thinking of selling my gauge cluster as well. I acquired a second one and will probably sell my car with it.

Wow - a lot of interest for this... Sorry, but I don't have time to make a DIY. The climate controls took me about 15 hours to do, and my gauge cluster took me over 50. I can't sum that up in a simple DIY...

UPDATE - I've added pics of my gauge cluster as well, if anyone's interested. I already have a 2nd cluster so I don't need that. I still need the AC (climate) controls and PM/cruise control buttons in AMBER. If you're interested send me a PM. GTA AREA only... sorry. Not willing to ship or drive great distances..

don't need a DIY, but did maybe what size leds you used and if you used any resistors?

I used 3mm blue LEDs throughout, with the heads sanded off to disperse the light. As for resistors, yes I used them; you have to do so in order to set the current through the LEDs within their operation range.

I put 3 to 5 LEDs and a resistor all in series. The value of the resistor depended on the colour of the LEDs (I used white, blue and red - each one has different current ranges).

If you do a google search for "LED Resistor Calculator" you should come up with some sites that calculate it for you. Also, I ordered all of my LEDs from www.lsdiodes.com . Very good service and delivery.

One more thing - you can get the current/voltage rating for the LEDs from the manufacturer/retailer. For example, lsdiodes.com lists the full specs on all the LEDs they sell.

I'm in Nova Scotia and have amber controls, but I don't have an orange gel sheet behind my AC button as the girlfriend's car doesn't have AC. I do have a green AC button though. If this is still for sale maybe we can work something out.

Looking to keep it locan, sorry cyber... I was thinking the buyer and I could meet somewhere and I'd do the swap right on the spot... I'm selling my car soon (the days are ticking down), and want to get it back to stock. So.... PM me with an offer if you're in the GTA and willing to give up your amber controls.

These things are BRIGHT. I mean too bright - looks very sharp, especially if you have a head unit that lights up blue. Plus, they are still controlled by your cluster's dimmer ****...

Well, the clock's a tickin... I ordered a 2006 MX-5 (Miata) last night, agreeing to trade in my 1.7EL. Delivery on the MX-5 is set for 3-4 weeks from now. I'd like to get the car as back to stock as possible, as soon as possible.

PM me. Heck - I'll even do a swap: my blue controls for your amber ones, for next to nothing if you'll sweeten the deal with something... Can't seem to get a firm buyer on this!

I also have my super-modified cluster. That's also tentatively up for sale, although I do have to fix a few LED circuits prior to selling it. I could both together if you wanna complete the look.

It's been a week. Couldn't get hold of my potential buyer last weekend during the alloted time - so, up for offers. I'm also putting up the cluster too. All I need are your orange controls. I have the power mirror, sunroof and cruise control buttons, all modded to light up blue. If you have all three of these in amber they're yours too.
