So would anybody have any suggestions on alternate routes for the cruise? My idea was just something I concoted from the top of my head, but it sounds like a lot of other groups do this run too. If anybody has any ideas that might be a little more original, I'm all for it!

3 days left until the meet!
The weather is looking good, so I hope everybody is still going to make it
.
If anybody wants a map of the route, I will bring a bunch to the meet, just in case we get seperated.

I haven't been keeping a tally over there, but if I had go guess conservatively I would say at least 5 cars.
Okay, I think I have the route figured out... using Google Maps, I found what looks like a decent size parking lot on the northwest corner of W. Georgia and Denman that we can stop at after getting out of Stanley Park so that we can all join up again in case we lose part of the pack.
I don't know Vancouver that well, so if anybody sees anything that I could change in my route to make it better, please make suggestions. I tried to map it out so that we would have the least chance of getting seperated at any time.
Home Depot (first meeting spot) to Stanley Park to regroup spot
1. Out of Home Depot parking lot from the rear
2. Merge onto Terminal Ave, heading west
3. Right on Main St.
4. Left on E. Pender St
5. E. Pender St. turns into W. Pender St.
6. Turn right onto W. Georgia St.
7. Head into Stanley Park, and stay right, following Stanley Park Dr.
8. Probably stop for pics somewhere along Stanley Park Dr. or in Stanley Park somewhere
9. Continue around Stanley Park Dr., exiting on Beach Ave.
10. Head straight down Beach Ave. (don’t veer to the right) and it will turn into Morton Ave.
11. Morton Ave. ends at Denman St.
12. Left at Denman
13. Straight through the light at Denman and W. Georgia St.
14. Left into the parking lot just past the light so that everybody can catch up.
Regroup spot to Cypress Bowl
1. Exit out of parking lot and go right on Denman St.
2. Right on W. Georgia
3. Down Stanley Park Causeway
4. Across Lions Gate Bridge
5. After bridge, take overpass over Marine Dr., and stay right to get on Marine Dr. westbound
6. Stay right and turn right on Taylor Way.
7. Left on Mathers Ave. to merge onto Trans Canada/Upper Levels Hwy.
8. Exit towards Cypress Bowl Rd.
As far as lunch goes... is everybody OK with the Prospect Point Cafe?
If I get enough yes's, I will make a reservation, probably for 10-15 people.

A member just PM'ed me regarding FRS radios... if anybody has them, please bring them! They will be great at keeping all of us in touch if we get seperated.
I will be running mine on channel 12-5 if anybody else is bringing a set.

Theres a very good photo op right next to the train station that your route drives by, its the new city works yard........has this huge cement wall, we could easily fit 20 car single file there....................just an idea.......

Only thing to change..very minor
10. Head straight down Beach Ave. (don’t veer to the right) and it will turn into Morton Ave.
11. Morton Ave. ends at Denman St.
Take Davie instead of Morton (1block over) and then you have a light to turn left on....I guess we can go over this tommow at HD
