need help with what spacers to use to install front speakers

ok,

i have a 2002 civic coupe and i want to install alpine 6.5" sps-1629 speakers in my doors. the problem is that spacers must be used with aftermarket speakers. i made my own mdf spacers but the stupid plastic door panel wouldnt fit back on the door and i dont want to hack apart the door.

where can i buy those crappy aftermarket spacers that installers use? i want to know which exact ones you peeps used and where you got them. also, how much did they cost? did you have to hack apart the door to make the regular speakers fit? i'm not installing components because they'll be a bitch to install.

you can also just go to a& B sound and go to the install bay and ask them to sell you some.

it was supposed to be more fun to do it myself...

i also did the rear speaker install on my car too. it was a bitch to do and i sorta wish i had just paid someone to do it for me, but then again i dont really trust audio installers very much. one time i was chatting away with an audio manager at visions because he has a 7th gen coupe too. he told me how his rear deck rattles like crazy because a few of his clips broke off during the install... i'm i was wondering to myself wtf aren't you supposed to know what you're doing if you sell car audio as a living?

anyways, i had nice MDF spacers made but they were slightly too big....i'm feeling too lazy to make new ones because i dont have access to a woodshop anymore.

yup, planning on doing that but i want to make sure they fit before i go buy them.

just wondering where you peeps bought spacers that will fit and doesnt require cutting up the excess plastic on the door panel.

so no screws? you just popped it in and had the components clip onto the door?

btw, did you have to hack up the plastic door pannel to get the components to fit in the door?

i didnt chose components because i was afraid it'll be a lot of work to make them fit in that tiny space
