Unhappy CF Tail lights - NO MORE!

Well, I broke my CF tail lights. The seal gave and one filled with water in the car wash as I was spraying the car down. I'm putting new ones on tomorrow.

What I was wondering tho, is there a way to open the lens from the light so it can be cleaned and resealed? What I was thinking was heating them up somehow then prying them apart. Anyone have suggestions or anyone maybe done this type of thing before?

Sounds good. I'll give it a try. I saw the headlight DIY and wasn't sure if it could be done the same way. thanks for the input.

should be done the same. heat with a heat gun/oven, pry apart, dry, then reseal. or if possible, works with headlights, take out a bulb and use a blow dryer to clear up the moisture.

It's not the moisture I'm worried about. It's the dirt that got in there that concerns me now.

no worries. I'm going to play around with it Saturday and see what I can do.
