I was just wondering if anyone BBS's anymore. I run a telnet system with a fair amount to offer, but since I reset it over christmas, I really noticed that it's not used much anymore... Webpages and stuff are still popular, but the BBS is slower than normal. I guess I'm just wondering what people look for in a BBS nowadays.

Any suggestions?

I have not used them in years. I use mainly newsgroups and webbased forms now, mainly because not many people use them any more. MIRC is ok but not my flavor

Unless you offer something on your BBS that can't be found on the net, there is no point of going there. I haven't been on a BBS in years, some of the people I work with have never heard of a BBS (or newsgroups), but I'm dating myself.

Grin. BBS Rims, that's good actually. But, it actually stands for Bulletin Board System, and mine has the web interface as well as telnet.

Heh, the system is starting to get busy. People seem to like playing the interbbs 'Legend of the Red Dragon' game. I might have to register it.



Had a couple comments about the web page... Not great, but hey, I'm no web designer. Volunteers are welcome tho.

All you have to do is go to http://wolf-lair.dyndns.org
and check the who is online tag, and log in, or sign up as a new user via the web at the same addy. It will send you a password via email.
