Hey fellow Ohioans!

Anyone know of some shops who do a quality job on tints near the Cincinnati area? I want a shop who offers a lifetime warranty but more importantly, does a professional job. I have been reading these forums on tint jobs and some people have had bad luck with poor jobs. I don't want this to happen so I want to be very picky and choosy on where I get it done. Oh yea, I also need a place who uses quality material, not junky cheap stuff!

BTW, anyone know the legal % here in Ohio? I was thinking like doing 10% for my rear window and two rear sides and 30% everywhere else just to be safe. I also want to add a dark strip across my front. Would the mismatch look stupid or should I stay equal on everything?

some old guy driving a focus asked me where i got mine done at random at the bank like 3 months ago (mine was done in buffalo). wish i had a local place to recommend. i know places on the west side that do tint but can't recommend one personally.

tint is 90% install.

50% is legal limit in OH. your windows are already 75% or so. so you won't be legal if you tint. know what cops will do in the area you live in. i have 25% all around (rear, front 6 inches and small side windows, not big ones) and haven't been bothered yet. factoring with existing tint, that makes it about 20%. i like it. might go a hair lighter, just because night visablity can be rough.

i think a mismatch on side pieces would look retarded.

i honestly am sensitive to light too. i wear sunglasses a lot. the legislation really need to change (and whatever happened to the plan to do away with front plates too?)

It just makes you mad about some of these laws. One I will never quite understand is the noise thing regarding exhaust. Hell, look at motorcycles. The noise they put out can be heard for miles! Oh, and trucks! Some of these semi's going by are as loud as the damn motocycles. Why can't the law makers balance it out all the way around? No, they pick on cars but not trucks or bikes. Rediculous.

Laws are laws and you can't blame the cops for enforcing them, it's not their fault. You blame the SOB who came up with the law! Just like the front license plate thing here is Ohio? What the?? Why are we the only damn state who HAS to have a front plate? Again, some idiot got this to pass through for some stupid reason and now we have to deal with it.

Grrrrrrrrrr... Anyway, I AM getting my ride tinted and I will go at LEAST 25% all the way around, maybe more. After all, laws were meant to be broken, right? Especially when they are introduced by some fat-cat sitting in an office. In my opinion, those laws are not important, they are annoying and do not serve a purpose for society so screw it. I figure any law that I break which will not hurt someone else if broken should not even be a law!

Who am I hurting with tinted windows? Who am I hurting if I don't have a front plate? Who am I hurting if I have an aftermarket exhuast? NOBODY!! So they can take those idiotic laws and shove em' as far as I'm concerned!

Auto Customs of Cincinnati on Colrain Ave is a good place to go for tint. 150 bucks with a lifetime warranty, and percentage you want. They do a good job.

Note: they are good for tint, but they take forever to install a body kit. They painted it wrong 3 times before they got it right... but i looks great now that the damn thing is on

Off subject here but how much do you have invested in your car? Um, another question.... Why? I mean, wouldn't it be easier and more sensible to just buy a faster car? Trying to turn our cars into race cars seem to me a total waste of money but I guess that's just me. I'd rather save and put the money towards a real car like a EVO or something. I dunno, just my opinion. Don't get me wrong, your car looks sweet and it probably quicker but seriously, why the expense and time invested? Is it for fun, sport, or just because? I really want to know what drives some of you to this point.
