VTECO1EX will be there......and this underage drinking ought to be fun to watch......
OK on a side note, Easton would be great but i hate to say it HIGHLY unlikely for this many spots in one area and even if there was that many spots once security heard of it, our asses would be outta there. Heres a side note on a place that i have been to before. Its called Alum Creek. Its about 5 mins NW of Polaris Fashion Place or whatever the hell you call that mall these days. Just a thought or there is a Metropark in New Albany off of 161 and Hamilton Rd not to far from Easton...just some food for thought

Yeah, I'm with Zaskar on the venue choice, and it's partially why I'm out. Those at the tiny Ohio meet a year ago witnessed what happens when you decide to randomly take over someone's parking lot - you get lots of attention from the fuzz, and the meet's over (and they follow you all the way home). For those not familiar with Easton, it's a really yuppie outdoor "small town" looking shopping mall. Security blankets the place trying to put the smack down on minorities/ricers/people with rusty cars/etc, so the chances of being discovered are certain.
At Alum Creek, I'm thinking particularly around the Marina area, you'd have a good portion of the place to yourselves. Also fantastic driving roads immediately surrounding the park. It'd also be a lot less obvious having a bunch of unders drinking beer at the park as opposed to in a parking garage standing next to their car at a mall.
BTW - disregard everything I'm saying. Everyone have a great time and I hope it goes well. Really.

we could always go back to the parking lot if we cant go to the easton. hangin out at the top of the garage would be tight if we could get all the acrs up there.

Good point, Paul. I can recall one specific instance when I couldn't find a parking space in Easton AT ALL, let alone in a parking garage.
Edit: This was on a Sunday. No joke.

Ok. I am a Columbus Native, who goes to Easton a lot, so I am going to clear some things up.
1. On a Saturday afternoon, 10-15 cars on the top of the Easton garage, on a sunday, probably about half of the top is full.
2. I've met up with large groups of friends there and never had problems, EVER.
3. Alum Creek has park rangers, they are tougher about **** than cops. If you do a park, you need to find a shelter house to have a BBQ or something.
4. If my help would've been asked for, I could've secured a private location like I did for the 2002 Ohio Meet

LJ...i completely agree no booze, however i know 2 of the Easton security morons there since I work out there alot for the retailers and if they heard anything about a **** load of civics, they would jump on it like flies on ****....they have nothing better to do so you know they will...i recall meijers alone with copo. it took what 4 mins to get kicked out of there. also by the way it is sounding there will be more than 10-15 cars there
and also, I go to Alum Creek enough and not once has a ranger bothered me on the south side and we are always doing stupid crap out there...just wanted to say that.

i say we just give easton a try then we work from there. if not, are there any community parks that we can chill at around there or maybe a movie theater parking lot?

and if you look at every single thread from people that had meet, almost every one had cop problems, so that can basically be expected

i agree. i dont think there will be too big of a problem. i say we chill there for a while since we have said that for the past 2 weeks and some people might not be checkin back in this thread. then we cruise from there to another spot if there is a problem. just as long as no one does anything stupid, we should be fine

if we are patrons at easton, there is nothing they can do. no drinking, no burnouts, or other dumba$s stuff that can get us booted. be responsible and respectful and all will be well at easton. i am a native from columbus, and a frequent easton goer, and i'd like to echo LJ. on saunday afternoons, it should be ok on the top level for all of us to park. we all meet up. wait for poepel to show up, and go eat. from there, we can go somewhere else to actually LOOK at cars. easton is NOT the place to SHOW yourcar. we're there to initially meet up and eat. nuthin else.

Reytito, I agree with that...i was getting under the assumption that we were all staying there at Easton to eat and also talk which i agree that is NOT the place to do it. BTW which garage...east or west. Or for people that wont know it....Lazarus side or Gameworks side.
Metroparks off of Hamilton rd.....in new albany near 161..i have drove through there but never really payed attention to parking lots there

Gameworks. i was up there the weekend of the Import Life show, April 10th was the day i believe. Bright sunny day, around noon, warm.. there were maybe 10 cars on the top of the garage, at most. I don't see how it could get as full as some of you have said.

^ lol. what are you talkin about bringin, food or somethin? id be down for bringin some chips or pop if needed
Hey there! Just got back from my week in NYC. Crazy city! Especially driving in it. Wound up in the middle of Times Square with my car during rush hour. Fun stuff!! Got the car washed finally and took new pics too. Anyway, I was under the assumption that Easton was merely a central (noticable) spot to meet up and then we were going to cruise elsewhere. Don't worry about security and parking spots. It's a little late to be changing the venue now, IMO.
LJ: Got your post about the heatshield. Sounds good! Hope to see you at the meet.
Reytito: I'll look at my calendar and figure out a time we can meet to draw up a cruise route. I'll be in touch.

look theres nothing to bring cept yourself and your car if you're driving. we're goin to easton to EAT. restaurant. i thought we had that part down already. after eating, we'll cruise somewhere then look at cars, etc.
Is anyone bringin a turbo civic or one with nitrous because i would like to see what they look like in person in our cars before buying anything? Ive seen other civics and stuff with all that but never a 7thgen one.
