need gauge cluster for 04 dx
need gauge cluster for 04 dx
I am looking for a gauge cluster with tach for an 04 DX manual. I have searched all over town and the internet. Would prefer an aftermarket with blue lights. Also I know its possible but how hard would it be to switch out the odometer chip to keep the mileage correct?

check ebay and search for '01 civic gauge cluster'
if you get the 01-02 lx/ex with tach then its a direct swap. the 03-05 lx/ex newer style will require rewiring. in either case, its easier to just find a cluster that is close to your original miles. otherwise reprogramming costs around $150.

I would highly recommend rewiring an lx or ex 04 05 style cluster. They look amazing! For the millage question, I have a theory that one of these 2 chips on the speedo circuit board has the millage of the cluster. If you are good at soldering you could try switching it out and see if it works.
