the truth
I've been reading up on this Zex dry/wet kit posting that has been going on. People claim that you CAN run a Zex dry kit on the 7th gens, and then there are those who say you CAN'T. Its obvious that wet kits work because I have had an NX kit on my car before. I'm looking to throw on a dry kit for the summer because its a quick and easy install. Just want to know if the dry kit will REALLY work on our car and does anyone have pics or proof. thanks.

Well, here's the deal, I ran an NX kit on my 2dr 2k1 automatic last summer. Sprayed it a few times on the street and everything seemed fine. Went to the track about two weeks into having the kit sprayed twice and on my second run after the trap my car turned off and coasted to a stop, lost all power and one minute later it turned back on and ran perfect. I immediately turned it off, took off the kit the next day and sold it. I still dont know what exactly happened but I would think a dry kit would be a quick, easy install and i wouldnt have to mess with spraying fuel with it. What should I do guys, I'm not a moron, I just dont get these new bullshit emmissions engines

Also, I was thinking about somehow monitoring the air/fuel but the autometer gauges just look cool and dont do **** as far as I'm concerned. The real thing could cost me around 750$, I'm just trying to run a 50 shot safely and maybe a 75 if people say they have done it consistantly without any problems. Remember guys, I have an auto. (yeah i know, why'd you get an auto you ****ing idiot)
I could just use some advice from someone who has had the same problem or knows a solution.
I could just use some advice from someone who has had the same problem or knows a solution. Alright u could probably run a 35 shot dry safely. But why would you do a dry shot when u could double it with a wet kit...? Also wet kits are fairly easy to install(especially Zex)and with zex you will never run lean because of the computer that controls your fuel. What is your fascination with a dry kit anyway?

Well, dry kit is easy to install, VERY easy, and I have had a few friends that have had the kit and had no problems. I just dont see what went wrong at the track with my NX kit last summer, I paniced and sold it.
