i just have a quick question i was wondering about. those of you that are boosted, how much has the gas mileage changed from being boosted vs. stock gas mileage?

I'm not boosted yet, but depending on your setup and turbo size, gas mileage will only decrease a little on normal city driving. It may even stay the same. On highways, most turbocharged cars can actually gain better gas mileage. Obviously once your turbo spools and you are boosting you are going to use more fuel to accomidate the the extra air.

I bet Catalyst can give you actual numbers though.

ok, i was just wondering if the mileage got real bad, or if it would just suffer a tiny bit, wasn't too sure (not boosted here).

I am not sure about the gas mileage on boosted cars... but I doubt it will be a big difference since our fuel system is still limited because of the returnless fuel line. The only thing that will probably change is using premium gas instead of regular unleaded. I heard that boosted engines need 92 octane and up.

I use premium, and the change in mileage is minimal. but it depends on your driving habits as well!

I am still seeing 40 mpg on the higway, and over 300 miles on a tank in town. So i see better/same gas on the highway, and i lost maybe 10-15 miles on an entire tank in town.

it just sucks paying $1.90 for premium.

yup paying 1.90 does suck mike all hail good ole california but it sucks to me paying 1.76 for 89 octane =| and now that i am saving for my turbo i will soon be paying the same as you!!!!!!!! but hopefully by the time i get the money for the turbo gas price will drop a lot =]
